A high-quality proposal is critical in providing stand-out service to your clients. Benefix makes this simple with our easy-to-read, customizable proposals. Get comfortable with the layout of the Benefix standard horizontal proposal so you can continue giving your clients the quality guidance they deserve.

The first page of your proposal will be the cover page. This page provides you with a summary of the quote information, such as group name, effective date, SIC code, number of employees, and your basic contact information.

Detailed plan information is organized into separate tabs of the spreadsheet by each coverage type, starting with medical and followed by any ancillary products you've included within your quote. Depending on the number of plans you’ve added, you may have more than one tab for each type of coverage.

Your current plan will always appear first, followed by your mapped renewal, and then any alternate plan options. The carrier & plan name are shown at the top of each column, and benefit details will be listed below.

*TIP* If you'd like to sort your alternate plan options in a particular way, you can change the default sort order in account settings.

At the bottom of each column, you’ll see the Cost Summary section that displays the monthly and annual premium totals, monthly premium change from your group's current plan, and the employer contribution you indicated within Step 4 of the quoting process.

To see the full list of benefits a plan has to offer, click the "View PDF" button to access the plan's carrier documentation. From this view, you can easily download and print these documents.

To view a plan's age-banded and/or composite rates, click on the plan’s Monthly Premium amount, which is highlighted in blue towards the bottom. This takes you to the plan's Rate Breakdown Page.

Detailed information for your group can be found in the Census Details tab of your proposal. The first column of the Census Details tab will include composite rate tier counts, followed by information for each group member, such as their name, member type, coverage tier, and date of birth.

If composite rates are provided by the carrier, you will see rates for each tier underneath the plan names. Below the composite rates, you will see age-banded rates for each member of your group, as well as payroll deduction and employer contribution. You will also see the cost summary section for each plan below.
